A workshop and discussion session titled “Accelerating Women’s Financial Inclusion” was held recently at the Safina Park Auditorium in Godagari, Rajshahi. The program was organized by the NFIS Administrative Unit of Bangladesh Bank, Head Office, Dhaka. The event focused on women’s participation in financial services, their progress, and the future roadmap for greater inclusion.
Mr. Rup Ratan Pain, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank, Head Office, attended the workshop as the Chief Guest. In his remarks, he highlighted the importance of women’s participation in financial services, stating that their inclusion is essential for the country’s overall economic growth. He emphasized the need for greater awareness, accessible services, and the expansion of financial literacy. During the discussion, he also engaged with participants, responding to their queries and sharing practical insights.
Representatives from various government and non-government institutions, renowned NGOs, as well as members of the Santal and other indigenous communities of Rajshahi participated in the event. Following the discussions, attendees visited stalls set up by different banks and financial institutions, gaining first-hand knowledge of a wide range of financial services and products.

Through their sincere and engaging service, the team provided participants from the Santal and indigenous communities with in-depth understanding of various aspects of financial services.
